We have custom made blinds from Spotlight in our bedrooms. On the tall narrow Windows I put dual roller ( that is privacy & blockout) on the large windows we put roller privacy then Roman block out over the top. While they all look lovely & I am more than happy with the quality they do restrict the breeze. It is difficult to have privacy and a fresh breeze. Which I never considered at the time of purchase.

I agree that you need a blind like a roller or roman that goes up and out of kitty's way. Nobody has yet addressed your query about panel glides: Panel glides work best on large doors where there is room to stack the panels when opened. you will lose at least one third of your left glass door panel if you use panel glides and they also project into the room quite a bit.

Hi Jen, For clients, when I estimate the amount of stackback for a window treatment, the fabric (composition, thickness, linings), fabric fullness, size of the window/curtain, curtain header and the hardware used all form part of the considerations. Most likely I’d be going with a larger stackback. With the number of brackets you should refer to the hardware manufacturer instructions taking into account the weight of the treatment. Depending on what else is happening in the room, I would match the blind fabric to the curtain or go for something slightly different but still tonally the same as the curtain fabric. You might find a nice stripe or small pattern or texture that complements the curtains. When you have a big wall of curtains on one side and then the blind on the other just blends into the wall colour, the room will feel unbalanced. Good luck.
