Is there part of the house we can't see? Where is your front door? Just the double frontage like that is plain, but that was the style and not much you can do about it. The homes you are looking at do have a lot of features with opportunities to bring in other colours but there is nowhere with yours to do that and if you try it usually cheapens it. If you take the triple fronted house you posted, I would do the lighter green on the weatherboard and the deeper green like they have used on the window frames, I would do for the baseboards and the front door. I would keep the window frames and eaves white and paint the guttering to match the roof. Are you country? Are here any water issues for the garden? Instead of trying to do something with the house, I think I would be inclined to give it all a cottagy look with a picket front fence, nice entrance, a lush lawn and lots of plants for colour and lushness. The dark green baseboard will be a nice background for some small shrubs in front of the house. Weatherboards really lend themselves to that look. Don't forget the addition of old tyre swans - lol I notice you have small awnings over the windows - maybe replace them with some striped canvas ones in greens and terracotta - if you can get the combination. Hi, I like the overall concept of the darkish grey, it suits the home. I am a colour consultant and have been working with the Dulux range for 17 years and you are on the right track with the Guild Grey. The Dulux Signature will give you a dark blue house. Another option if Simone Weil which is just a bit lighter than the Guild Grey, if you find that one too dark. Sample pots and A4 brush outs onto white cardboard are the best way to decide, because computer programs give an overall impression of the "look" but are not accurate with colour choices, you can't beat the human eye. for bright and breezy go for pale yellows and oranges - blues & greys are everywhere - or look at light greens You can go with Surfmist for the roof and facias to keep it lighter - I would even do a Zinc roof with this design for a clean, modern minimalist look. Then look at Dulux Tinker Light at half & quarter tones if you want to go into the yellows or try Dulux Fresh Frappe or Misty Moore for the greens ... Try something different. If you have a neutral roof, you can go crazy with colours - and change them more easily whenever you want to update your look. Good Luck! :)

Sadly there aren't any digital, online tools to get super-accurate colour rendition. Most of the online tools give approximate and indicitive looks. There are many reasons for this, including your perception of the colour depending on the quality of light and time of day, and the accuracy of your computer's graphic card and your computer monitor. If you want to see what I mean then do a google image search for a popular Colorbond colour, such as "Surfmist", and you will be amazed at the huge variety of Surfmists show up in images ranging from blinding white to dirty beige! I used to be the national design manager with a large national builder and only by employing skilled graphics artists using top-of-the-line graphic workstations could we get close enough to the real thing, but they were never perfect. The best (and cheapest) option is to get samples of the materials and colours you are looking at, and assemble them together outside (in natural light), and see how they look different at different times of day under different light conditions.
