1960's reno internal sliding door fix
Comments (12)Wow I too have the same glass above my doors. Mine are all internal swing doors therefore I don't have your delema. I'm in the middle of renovations and mine are staying. My walls will be dark and modern with all the trim white with the original character and it looks great. With your wall, it's a lot to deal with therefore would suggest replacing the slider with a glass door with timber trim, keep your walls light modern and bright and paint your trim dark (any colour you favour) here is my example to give you an idea of what I'm talking about hopefully you can see the value here is a snippet of my renovation good luck....hope my idea gives you plenty of ideas...See MoreFeedback on internal paint please
Comments (8)Yes bigreader, his note said he has to return to re-sand all the skirting & then repaint them (which took him a full day to paint). He's also closed doors on wet door frames so when I opened them, paint has torn off in the process. He is just a disaster...See Morewhat colour to paint frame of front door
Comments (7)Agree with Deanne - consistency as always is the best option Frames typically/traditionally will be all the same colour, and if you want to pick out the door differently in a bold colour then go for it, but keep the frames the same and it won't look out of place. I'd also also consider lightening/freshening up the flanking inset panelling too. I also wouldn't be scared of painting the entire door black to make more confident design statement. Best to own it one way or the other. Good luck :) PD www.pauldistefanodesign.com...See MoreChoosing internal doors
Comments (11)Sure, please see below. The below is what I was thinking for the bedroom wardrobes and the hallway linen closet (painted white): For the internal doors, I was thinking of one of the below (again painted white - let me know your preferences): This is the more usual style that could be an alternative if it's too much shaker: Note that the main bedroom and linen closet door will be right beside each other in the hallway. I was preferring the shaker style as there is a style that looks the same but with translucent glass in place of the shaker panels which I wanted to use for laundry and bathroom to let in more natural light in the hallway....See Morenedoz
