Hi, I have a client who is keen on the horizontal slatted timber but is worried how much maintenance is needed to maintain the rich red colour. Could anyone advise?
This isn't my project - but was interested if it's possible to maintain this rich colour. I realise that most woods are going to fade to silver grey eventually without regular treatment.
OSMO exterior UV protective does a great job of preventing the greying. We've got an oak sign outside our workshop that was treated three years ago and it's kept its colour pretty well (photo attached). Here's the link to OSMO's site http://www.osmouk.com/sitechaptern.cfm?bookid=Products&chapter=82&page=262
