Help needed with my new kitchen colour scheme.

Hello All
I have a smallish U shaped kitchen and we are doing a complete rip out and installation of a new one. The kitchen is quite dark and at the moment we can't really afford a skylight, so I'm hoping my choices will lighten it up a little. What do you think of this:
White gloss cabinetry, no handles.
Stone benchtop, possibily in white shimmer or slightly darker?
Glass splashback - not sure whether to go with the smokey one or with the bronzy one. Hubby is a big worried about mirrored - comments appreciated.
We have a set of cedar shutters on the window which I would like to keep as they are good quality. To tie it in, we will build in a cedar wine rack at the end of the bench. My thinking is the bronzy mirrored splashback may tie in with this idea?
I have one wall where I would like to hang a largish, bright print - again something that would tie in with the cedar touches.
I would really appreciate any advice and suggestions - this is doing my head in a little!!
First world problem, I know.
Thanks muchly,
Trish
