Take a look through our project portfolio and you will notice a common theme, TIMBER! Not only is it aesthetically pleasing with its variety of applications, it also has many positive reasons for why we use it. We love pairing it with other materials... let us know which combination you like...
Ongoing maintenance required - BIG time. Timber looks good when new. Even with recommended care, our once fantastic looking bifold doors and windows (when new) have not fared well. They need to be painted, losing the natural timber grain.
Our recent extension has uPVC bifold doors and windows.
Yes, our harsh Australian environment does hammer our external finishes but if exposed timber is coated with a good quality finish initially ( i recommend 4 coats minimum ) then an ongoing maintenance coat every couple of years, your timber can still look great many years down the track. People just need to understand if you want that beautiful natural timber look you have to put time in to maintain it.
