Help please! lounge feature wall
Comments (12)I found the following photos that may assist in getting the look you want. You are right the white furniture will make the purple wall pop. It can still work with your grey suite, just not on the same wall as the suite. Your TV wall sounds like the best option, but before you paint the whole wall, try painting a large piece of board that you can prop against the wall for a few days. This will let you see it under different light conditions at various times of the day. [houzz=] [houzz=] [houzz=] [houzz=] Accessories are important, complementary area rug (pic 3) , coordinating cushions and some artwork (pic 2) will tie it all together. Key is not to over do it with too much furniture - keep it simple. I am not a fan of fishtanks in the living room, unless you are really up for maintaining it, as they can quickly become murky and could spoil the fresh look you want to achieve. A high storage unit might be more practical and useful as in pic 4. White timber blinds instead of the curtains, definitely, with side drapes to contrast. I'm afraid you will have to repaint the other wall and when you do find a big piece of artwork to hang there instead. Good luck, you have good instincts for design and don't forget to post some updates....See MoreWhats your opinion? Dark colours at bottom or top in kitchen
Comments (3)I'm not 100% sure what you're asking, but if you're looking for suggestions whether to make the lower cabinets grey and the upper cabinets white or vice versa, then I would be tempted to make the lower cabinets grey. I think this would help to make the ceiling feel higher and the overall space larger and brighter. But, it may depend upon what style you're going for, whether you have an island benchtop and, if so, what material/colour will be on the rear/exposed side of the island benchtop, the amount of natural lighting, etc. You can easily search through Houzz photos by room, size, colour, materials, etc. Here are a few examples I found from a quick search which may help:...See MoreDulux grey feature wall - HELP me choose 1 of these colours please...
Comments (30)Silk would be interesting, not to mention elegant. As for paints, the Silver Illusion appeals, but it might throw green (not sure). I also agree the Tranquil Retreat is a good one. I'm wondering how big the feature wall is, and what is going on this wall, eg TV, fireplace, large artwork, etc.?...See Morelexicon 1/4 with grey feature wall
Comments (0)Hello everyone. Can someone help me out with an appropriate grey feature wall colour? We are currently doing a modern contemporary new build. After much deliberation, I’ve decided to go with lexicon 1/4 on the walls, ceilings, skirting, doors and architraves. Would love to do a subtle grey panelled feature wall in our lounge room and the master bed. I’m thinking tranquil retreat. Does anyone have anyone experience or photos with this? And has anyone done lexicon 1/4 for their walls with European oak parquetry flooring? I love a crisp, clean white but hoping it doesn’t look sterile when it all comes together. Thank you....See Moreminnie101
