Help with adding colour and interest to my kitchen
Comments (12)Hi your kitchen is beautiful! I see you have some red pieces in your kitchen and I have seen a home where the ceiling was red a nice warm red and it made the home feel so nice and cozy like you never wanted to leave. They too had a ceiling like yours but that may be too bold. I just looked at ideas in houzz for red in the kitchen...wow how fun. You mentioned you have some red and yellow in your furniture etc., maybe red is for you. Good luck !...See MoreDining dilemma
Comments (25)We can fit 8 chairs at our dining table but I find it looks too cluttered for every day so I keep 6 out and put the extra two chairs elsewhere in the house until needed for guests. Another option would be to get 6 of the comfy chairs pictured for every day and a couple of extra stackable chairs that can be stored until needed....See MoreLiving room styling
Comments (38)rome_agile, have you decided whether to put small round table & chairs under stairs, or bar stools at bench? I'm thinking you might be more comfortable for extended dinners sitting at a table and chairs, plus you can always tuck up an extra stool or two if you are entertaining. There isn't much room at bench and people wouldn't really be facing each other. Stools are fine for quick and casual, if you have space. Maybe backless ones that tuck under the overhang a bit. Have you seen a Tulip table and the clear Louis Ghost Chairs? The Ghost chairs would allow light through so you don't lose the view outdoors and that space wouldnt fee crowded....See MoreNeed help furnishing rooms

Previously the kitchen had a peninsula and there were no bifolds so the room was split and we had a small kitchen and a small dining area. When we installed the new kitchen and bifold doors the intention was a kitchen / dinner but now I’m thinking I’d like a bench on the wall between the kitchen and family rooms with bar stools to sit at for breakfast and homework. I love your idea of ghost chairs - I hadn’t considered this. A bit like this:...See Morepetapea
