Kitchen sinks - undermounted or with drainer
Comments (7)I have heard some have encountered the chipping issue in the past, but I wonder to what extent... in the end, like with anything else, it also depends on whether you handle things with care or not... note however that although square edge stone bench tops has been been more popular of late, they also chip more easily... and for that reason a lot of ppl are reverting to the pencil edge which doesn't chip as easily... I believe you can achieve a contemporary with both... good luck...See MoreUnder mount sink
Comments (11)If you have a stone or imitation stone benchtop, you pay a lot for that benchtop and the streamlined look, and having two sinks and a drainer cut out of that top doesn't make a lot of economic or visual sense. I have a single undermount sink with a portable drainer, which I quite like. I'd probably suggest a flushmount as a good alternative, in that it doesn't take out so much of the expensive stone. If you need a double sink with drainboard, I'd be looking at alternatives, and I was very fond of the corian-type benchtop in our last house....See MoreNeed help to find a round BAR SINK or any small size sink
Comments (17)Hmm, 200mm diameter is about the size of a side plate, 300mm dinner plate and after a quick look at a few sink brands (eg Clark they seem to all be closer to 400mm). I did comea Cross this one but have no idea of the brand quality http://www.swanstreet.com.au/CM1-Undermount-Single-Bowl-6L-Small-Bar-Sink-330-x-200-x-125mm~3600...See MorePoll: undermount/front loading or top loading washing machine?
Comments (8)yes there is space for a stacked washer/dryer combo or washer with wall mounted dryer. There is also a small amount of room for an overhead cabinet or shelf (which we wont put in initially to keep flexible). I think the market will likely be midlife downsizers like us or holiday home given location (we are eastern beaches in Noosa), possibly not enough land for a young family unless they want low maintenance.. Thank you for feedback everyone....its still a tricky decision....so please keep ypur thoughts coming in...See MoreNajeebah
