This wallpaper for a classic bedroom?? Yay or nay??
Have got this bed....but with dark timber and black leather upholstery
Would take an actual photo of the bed, but the bedding is all wrong, so you will have to use your imaginations!!!
Have got black sculptured velvet drapes which has a trellis pattern on them and are a really glossy finish - I have tried to photograph these, but they just look dead. I have found this picture of the fabric ....doesn't show the glossy finish, but it does show the pattern...
I have found this wallpaper mural....and trying to work out whether or not to take the plunge and put it on the wall behind the bed, or whether it is too 'grafitti-ish' for the classic drapes and bed
or with a white background...
The room is quite big - have at least 2-3m around 3 sides of the bed, and the window covers most of one wall so is very bright and airy
Was thinking of a plain white doona, with a bright colored (maybe patterened???) throw and cushions

Comments (85)It must depend what you cook. I don't do fried, spitty type dishes and the grout around the largish tiles in my now 10 year old kitchen is as good as new. I rubbed car wax into the freshly laid grout lines, same as I did in the bathroom. It also depends on how much light bounces around your kitchen, glass being so reflective shows up smears with light on it. Just above the kettle in the first photo is a good example. Comments (37)Good on you abstar9511 for choosing to Renovate! I've personally gone through a renovation in the last 18 months and it is worth it. From the pictures the house looks to be in fairly decent nick for a Perth original, especially one by the beach with our salt and winds. Comments (46)For those still reading this thread. We just recently completed a bathroom reno in almost identical sized space though turned the other way. A lot of reflection in the photos sorry but there is a lot of glass and mirror. A cavity slider, while an added big expense, made the whole thing possible. To create the space I used the adjoining separate toilet room for the 1200 x 900 shower and shallow tall cabinet on the left and gained a closet in the hall outside with the rest of that corner. I also recessed the towel rail which helped give room to the shower entrance and not stick out in front of the loo. Wall hung vanity and toilet. Porcelain wood planks on floor with underfloor heating and also used in shower base. Excuse the towels, they are not my normal ones ! It was a big decision about joining the rooms and whether to keep the bath / shower but I think it paid off. There is just the two of us and it's a real pleasure to use and no longer feels like "standing room only"...See More

7 years agoI think if your going for the dark moody lux feel then a darker wallpaper and walls would look amazing. Especially with those curtains!Unless of course you particularly love this wallpaper...but I'd still go a darker colour on the walls, maybe a grey, purple or teal green.
Something like this pic, which would make your white bedding pop. (Fur is very lux too)
