What to do with wall space above vanity?
Comments (23)I am not the best person to comment on lights but would a few downlights be the go or one of those integrated heat/fan/light things be best in centre. Also a lot of people have task lighting......so lights just above the mirror for makeup etc. Personally too bright lighting while doing makeup sends me into a spin as I look like i have about a month to live! I hadn't thought of approvals for my proposed window - so thanks for that. Must keep that in mind. My bathroom is very hidden and looks nowhere in particular. It is all looking good. On another note my friend got a heated towel rail and much as I hate wasting power it is fab. Our towels seems to stay dampish in uninsulated BV '60 box in Melbourne. Also i would have a look in bathroom showrooms for some ideas too if you have any handy. Or buy a bathroom specialty magazine. It is going to be so nice this bathroom. What tiles etc?...See MoreWhere should we put the toilet in this small bathroom?
Comments (65)Hi AndrewJason, I love cavity sliders. they are there when you want them but not visible when you need the space open. Having said that they cost more, take a bit of wreckage to set up and in you WA case you will be wrecking brick walls to put them in which might be a stretch of mess too far. BUT you will need to weigh up if they are worth it in the end. I do not think the build will be too bulky in the kitchen/dining because it will be superbly practical on both sides and it maybe just a matter of what you are used to. Not sure about "Average Joe...…" we are all good at somethings, mine is plans, function, practicality, solar. Yours might be brain surgery, empathy for unwell folks, kinda or you make the best seafood lasagne in the world... we are all needed to make for a great world: and it really is that!!! Good luck with your splendid home: I think it is beautiful. And PS if you do make the best seafood anything I better have your address....!!!!!!! MK...See MoreTowel Hook Query
Comments (9)Siriuskey, thumbs up on the designer of that bathroom and you for posting. I just love them. Drying shouldn’t be too much of an issue, thank goodness, as the en suite has the wood heater directly flued into it during the winter and, with good airflow, it’s not a problem in the warmer seasons, and the other bathroom will mainly be used by guests and the towels laundered appropriately. I find, Lorraine, in my household everyone just tosses the towels over the shower and the rails just collect dust. The coat hook idea is going to be perfect, and AH the idea of choosing a slightly more ornamental one will be perfect. So once again guys, thx. You’ve made this house thing so much easier...See MoreHeated towel rails - vertical or horizontal?
Comments (9)Hi Lauren. I am researching vertical towel rails and found there are big differences in price - ranging from $300-750 per rail! Do you know if the more expensive ones are cheaper to run and vice versa???? I am not sure how to determine this? Choice Magazine don't have any articles on this. Thx.
