Dyeing linen quilt cover
Comments (1)I recently tries this but for a set of queen size bed sheets. (They were a gift but they were certainly not my choice of colour - pink!) SO i bought two packets of colour dye from Coles and put them through the wash like the instructions said.. it was all very simple and I didnt expect it to work but it did! My greatest fear was that they would immediately fade and the colour would run but 4 washes in and they are still a bold blue colour. I think this should work just as well for quilt overs and possibly better for linen than cotton? Good luck!...See MoreWall colour and kitchen colour
Comments (57)Wish i found this Q &A before. So many beautiful people advising and sharing here! I am Repainting Tropical Queenslander with dark red and orangy timber floors and this thread is so helpful. I painted Whisper white and it is throwing so much Green it makes me so sad I am going to repaint. I get loads of tropical sun in the north facing - with eastern morning sunlight. Was just about to go and buy Natural White just to cover it. Do you think it will be too dull/warm a colour. I do like a fresh feel and contrasting with vivid white decorative trims. The whisper white looks nice For a while in the morning while the morning sunlight throws read up onto it but then it returns to a green...See Moreblack velvet bed quilt ideas
Comments (5)I would keep with white sheets and either white, vintage wash grey or natural linen quilt cover... Then lovely plush emerald/green toned throw/pillow (I like the combination of the faded sage-green toned pillow with the bright emerald in the first pic). Or if you really love the green and want a more satin-type fabric for the bedding... I think this works well with the deep-toned wall but might look a bit dated against a white wall.......See MoreRe white bed quilt
Comments (3)Hi Jeannie, that quilt has so much texture , it’s gorgeous. I love a light cream with white as in the Adairs pic. Those throws In pics are from Urban Outfitters and Etsy but I think that one from Adairs is beautiful , you can add any other colour you love but you can’t go wrong with that quilt.. gorgeous....See Morefarsideb
