Design Help please! Laundry and powder room
Comments (20)If the rumpus is going to be used as a family day care room, then I think the powder room should be accessible from there. This will make it so much easier for one person to supervise the kids in the room as well as the one who is heading off to the toilet. Perhaps you also need a wet area in there for cleaing up after messy activities. I know someone with a similar family day care set up, and they have toilet and laundry attached to the back of the garage/daycare space. And then the kitchen is adjacent, this makes life a lot easier for the sole person in charge of the kids....See MorePlease Help Relocate Our Tiny Laundry
Comments (17)@dreamer Ha, I was embarrassed by how messy this pic was, that's why I didn't put it in the initial post. Yes, the power lead is absolutely gone - we just moved in a couple of weeks ago and everything in the wrong place! Thank you for your concern :) I was pretty sure that the measurements didn't allow for them to be side by side, but I'm going to look into that. If we can do that with enough airflow underneath for the ventilation, that would be a good solution. The patio has a roof but the left side of the photo (where the very overgrown grass is) does get wet in rain, so not sure if the side by side machines would work for that reason too. @Kate Yes, it's exposed on the side. We just wanted to find a laundry solution at this time - we are also planning on updating the kitchen and bathroom this year, but had initially thought that we would do that by just updating cabinets/appliances (and just re-siliconing and freshening up the bathroom). We are not against a bigger renovation but obviously have some cost limitations and are trying to do what makes the most sense....See MorePlease help us redesign the kitchen/walk in pantry/laundry
Comments (22)understanding all your restrictions would help suggest other options but the original staircase uses too much space and if you add scaled sized furniture to the original plans you'll see that the meals area is mostly taken up with walkways to the stairs and back door and there's very little space left for a dining table..the stairs have to fit both the floors of the house and it's not possible to reduce staircase space upstairs without also changing downstairs...See MoreKitchen / laundry / bathroom layout help
Comments (19)We intend to use the current study as a fifth / guest bedroom and study (hence wanting an updated bathroom downstairs too). We do have guests stay quite often (older step kids etc.) Some good ideas to think about, appreciate the feedback...See Moreme me
