Yep, we're really happy with the showering width, to be honest the 'compromise' shower curtain actually helps in this way, as we've mounted the top just outside the bath lip, with the bottom angled into the bath ( so the water drains into the bath and not the floor). Our bath is a good 80cm wide,but there were wider ones around (90cm if I remember correctly). I'm a size 16 and my partner is a 6ft 2 and both of us have plenty of room to shower independently. Sadly showering together is pretty much impossible, which is sad :( Yes it was pretty horrifically similar to bridesmaids... nuf said :( Plumbing wise your vanity taps could become your bath taps, your shower taps could stay as shower taps (if you wanted to) and your shower head could either be repositioned to the to the non window wall, the roof or not move them at all and look at handheld/ multi position/ exposed pipe work shower heads. Your current bath taps would need to be moved up ~25cm higher up to become your new vanity taps - but that's not much. If you have some crawl space under your house, moving the shower waste 50cm or so (which might not even be needed depending on your new bath) isn't much of a job - heck we even did it ourselves. Given you've got much more space in your laundry, I'd put a second toilet in there - and to enjoy a nice big vanity along your longer wall.

I've had a think too (thanks to your thoughts @caitlinfurby). Would it work if the bath went down the end beneath the window (handbasin/end of bath currently there). The toilet stays where it is but the wall reduced to a pony wall. The linen cupboard on the right hand side as you enter the bathroom is removed, as is my sons bedroom wardrobe (a new wardrobe for his room can go on the wall in his room against the hallway). That new space is turned into a walk in shower. The cupboard on the left hand side can be widened a bit at that current entrance way to make a new linen cupboard. Around the corner from that, opposite the toilet could be where the handbasin goes or in between the bath and shower? The door can be a pocket/cavity door or just a barn style door to enter the bathroom off the hallway. The current door to the kitchen is actually hinged the other than the plans show but we could just re hinge it the same as the plans show. The first little box area on the plans to the right as you enter the kitchen will have to stay as that is where the fridge is. The window at the end of the bathroom is close to going all the length of the wall...don't really want window sill getting wet from shower hence why maybe bath could go there. Husband wants to have a separate bath and shower. Do you think these ideas could work? Means the plumbing can pretty much stay as where it is too. What to you think??

I have just moved into a new house where we designed a kitchen/scullery very similar to yours - kitchen for preparation and cooking while being part of the household and the scullery for dirty dishes and storage of crockery and food items that are used occasionally or for sandwiches and snacks (little preparation). There is also a drinks area just outside the scullery (with a very small sink and a tap that has a choice of ready hot or chilled water - it is used constantly). The fridge is placed in the middle between the main preparation kitchen and the scullery where the toaster is also kept. People wanting coffee, toast, snacks can access everything without bothering the person/ people cooking. Our hot plates and wall oven are separated by an L-shaped bench with a single sink, which works very well. However, the sink is much closer to the oven than the hot plates which was bad planning. I underestimated the number of times I move between the sink and the stove top (including rinsing my hands between tasks). The sink needs to be close to the cooktop - and, because you are not stacking dirty or drying dishes there, the amount of bench space between the cooktop and sink does not need to be all that large. One other thing that I am really glad we upgraded to is a synthetic stone bench that is allows you to put pans on directly from the oven (most do not) - brilliant. It also allows you to cut directly in in. I usually don't do this, not because I ma concerned about the bench top but because I dont want to blunt my good knives :)

That's interesting to see the photos, I just re read your dilemma, it would certainly be more cost effective to keep the toilet where it is and I personally think it's in a better position with the pocket door pulling back towards it keeps it private whereas the other toilet will be exposed by the door doing the same thing. Even keeping the shower plumbing instu directing the water away from the window. My 3 way bathroom has the shower setup like this with a 900 square with another 900 space beside it 1800 total with a smaller window in the 2nd space for standing and drying. you have a longer 2400 space total. Did you consider changing the window
