Comments (0)This is a potted avocado tree...we planted it in a plastic tub instead of a proper pot but cut 6 10cm x 1cm slits in the bottom. At the very bottom there is a small dead animal then potting mix then it is topped with a layer of mulch. But it just will not drain and everything I read tells me the tree will die. Why won't it drain and how can we make it drain?! The pic shows it 2 hours after watering, I gave it maybe 3 litres of water...less than I give any of our other established potted plants. Also just before I took the pic I added sand to the mulch to try and get rid of some of the sitting water but not much help......See MoreTree Selection ....HELP!!!

Comments (5)Thank you Dreamer, Sadly, it's the wall that is curved. The ledge going down has been packed to start the curve at the ends.. We've knocked out the wall between the kitchen and family and straighten up the other kitchen wall. knocked back the wall between the entry and dining... Not sure who lost the bet when the house was built - the store in the kitchen housed the hot water system and the linen cupboard was 25cm deep!...See Moredreamer
