I’m looking at exterior reno inspo and love the look of this. Any ideas how much the cement looking addition would cost and what trade would do it? Very new to this (obviously)
Its called concrete look render finish. Any good renderer can do it. Its quite labour intensive job. Quotes varies between renderers. Its quite brittle though. Be careful it chips easily.
You need a builder to ensure that roof guttering etc are not compromised. They will have a bricklayer build the wall. Then a person who does rendering to do the render. Acrylic render is best. Also consider, depending how wide, big you want this structure, it may require council approval. There are set back allowances for homes. You can not build out of this set back without council approval. If your looking in Mullaloo, then the houses are built a fair way back into block, so you may be okay. But best to check with council first.
my builder calls this upstanding wall a parapet and we needed new concrete foundations, a bricklayer, renderer, painter and a roof plumber to make sure that the roof drained properly but we had ours included with a new garage and a renovation of an existing separate building where we made the roof slope sideways so there's no potential drainage problem behind the standing up section of the wall
