it's not the colour of the screens as the black would look great against the white it's the lattice that interrupts the views and looks dated but the screens can be replaced over time as needed ... we've bought very modest priced ($165 plus extra lock) non latticed security screen doors at Bunnings for a property in tropical Mackay and we're gradually replacing all the windows with flyscreend louvres that have greatly improved ventilation and enhanced the tropical feel without compromising security

I have got the sample pots and I’ve painted them on large cardboard, it’s more the benchtop I want to blend in nicely, as well as splashback. I know I won’t find the exact combinations, would be nice to see one or two of the colours to get a more visual idea. They aren’t the popular ones like lexicon and all the mainstream dulux whites. So the bricks have all been removed, and under the bench is just going to be the same as the kitchen cupboards. The brick pier has been Gyprocked. Do you think a smoky mirror splashback will look good?

I like the colours you’ve suggested. I find neutrals restful. Do you have a sample of your cabinetry? An easy way to get a coordinated look, without whites clashing, is to have the white colour matched at the paint shop to the cabinetry. The colour match will tell you if White Beach is on the right track. I’d consider a more plainer white for the trim ie Natural White as suggested above or Berkshire White. For your splashback - could the budget stretch to the benchtop material? If not a tile colour that picks up one of the benchtop fleck colours will give you a coordinated look. Sounds lovely. I think its too dark , too grey , and that the darker tones don't show off the Merbau timber well ( or vice versa ) . Personally , I think either go lighter on the walls ( surfmist or similar ) , keep the monument roof , then a bright colour on the trim and entrance and garage doors -- red , orange or yellow are my favourites , but on your design it may make something nice look a bit too 'slapped together transportable building' , and in fact almost any colour may suffer that fate , so how about a rock look for the base , rather than timber ( whether you are going light or dark or natural , it could look like its just waiting for someone to knock off those base timbers and back a truck under it ) . The other combo that may work would be your darker colours , but have varnished light beech or similar for the base , decks , even the entrance door and garage door ? Basically , someone going to the trouble of varnishing looks more permanent than anything that looks like it is or could have been stained IMO .
