It appears that the front has bore water staining, on the bricks and windows.
if you paint window frames and render, and do not change your sprinkler system, you are going to end up with bore rust stains once again. So, no advantage. I'm hoping all the holes in your front yard, are towards rectifying the bore problem.
In my opinion, do not render, once the windows are painted white, and all the garden has been landscaped I think it will look good.

I actually think your house would suit render - and the right landscaping would really lift it too. If you you don't get a suggestion you are happy with here, Dulux colour consultants are generally good and good value.

please don't render unless the bricks are damaged or crumbling ...after cleaning and rectification of the staining issue they should look great with fresh new landscaping, white trim and if you prefer a really dark roof consider ironstone or woodland grey instead of monument for the roof

Thanks for the idea of the Dulux Colour Consultants. Yes its all been stained by bore water. We've ripped up the grass/retic & are planning to redo the retic so that the water doesn't spray onto the house/ windows anymore.

I look at the big picture , and something doesn't quite 'click' -- clean the bricks ( might need chemicals ? ) , do the windows in crisp white , and it won't look TOO bad , but then the rest looks dated .

The 2 blues are so 1980's . The garage door looks okay , but needs crisp white surrounds . But then the rest gets weird -- the triangular eve on the garage , in wood and in steel blue , whilst the other eve isn't triangular , isn't blue , and isn't timber -- its the same brick as below !

Repaint -- maybe the lighter blues in a light to mid grey ; the rest in charoal . But all in timber ( as you'd never be able to do that brick above the garage ) .

Great suggestions, I would remove thin trim from windows that would add an instant more modern look and highlight the internal shutters, paint your outdoor blinds same colour that you paint your gutters, garage door, they are easy to paint using a roller and weather shield paint, once bore sorted landscaping and it will look fabulous.

Julie, good point about the window trims. Hopefully the bore water hasn't made them permanently etched into the window.

subject to budget consider altering the hip on the front roof to a half gable with cladding to match the shape of the garage roof and ask for a quote to replace the tiles with Colorbond steel instead of painting the old tiles and rendering
