Lovely print. I had a peacock feather print and I had a colour called glacier Grey behind. Think it was Wattyl . Again like your other walls it is a greenish grey but darker. I also had my prints on a charcoal wall..loved that too. As you said the picture ties in with the chairs and now it's not necessary to add more matching colours. I'd buy a couple of sample pots and paint large pieces of cardboard. With the other walls I would consider painting them in whisper white (Dulux) a very universal colour that ties in nicely with all colours.

Thanks for asking.. I am so happy.. the house was so decayed so we decided to rebuild the same look of a 100 year old cottage but move all the living to the front for the river view.. so happy we did it and went for light grey and white and yellow.. so pleased and we have people in the park comment.. we could not go any bigger because of council and flood zone but it makes it special as it is. Some pictures I just took.. I took a picture of the outlook so you can see why it feels just right.. still work to do as in the gardens and just finding the right plants to put in as it is full sun. Will ask for help on that one too to make it feel cottagey but not block the view. Thanks again for asking. Karen

Hi Mona, First of all what a stunning house. My house paint is extremely similar to this one.I am almost sure there are three shades of the same colour. If you saw these shades at different times of the day you would see what I mean.Now here is the exciting part for me they all come from the base colour of green. If you look closely at the trims ( real word escapes me ) they are telling you this. I painted my rendered house 19 years ago and the only thing I have to do is wash it down every couple of years, I am in Sydney. By the way the paint has a lifetime guarantee. Unfortunately the paint was not allowed into Oz at the time so I cannot tell you how I got it for obvious reasons. I hope things have changed for the customers benefit but the other manufacturers did not want it for obvious reasons. the name of the paint is KEIM and it is german of course. I do not regret using it for a second and if I was to build again I would use it at the drop of a hat. I hope you find it and consider using it. I'm sure you will not find it advertised if the situation is the same. Please keep us posted as I am also curious. Kind regards, Miriam

guess you would have completed the update by now but just in case, They built great houses in the 70"s, a lot had concrete tiled roofs, have them checked and if sound paint them grey along with gutter and barge boards as you suggested but please do a soft grey otherwise it will look too top heavy, down pipes same colour as bricks (photo of soft grey roof) Paint garage doors same as brick colour minus the stripe, Front entrance update would help, does this open into a small foyer Railing, windows painted, I prefer black for this, I have attached a photo of a house that the owners had the roof painted, they painted all the metal windows themselves, said it was easy. Paving in front of entrance, this photo shows they used white pebbles and pavers with a small screen, plus a new hedge. similar entrance doors to these let in much needed light as these houses can be quite dark
