Hi Catherine. I suggest going for side by side blockout roller blinds in a white or other neutral colour. These will keep out the morning sun. Cover this with a sheer curtain that can be used the rest of the time. Sheers come in varying thicknesses, so you can choose how much light you prefer to let in.

I’d match the new window over the sink and the stacker door. Are you having a touch of black anywhere else? I like the idea of black but you need to consider the whole look.

Hey brains trust! I have a previous post from 22 Aug requesting ideas for improving the front appeal and functionality of my house. now that I live here I know for sure that the front sliding door has got to go. It feels like a security issue and it makes that room feel less of a room and kinda just a weird space?! the windows at the front of the house also desperately need updating. I was thinking of some ideas that would involved replacing the windows and perhaps updating the sliding door to a large secure window panel with a partition at the bottom. I have attached photos of the old windows that need replacing, the front view and then the back renovated deck and living area to get a sense of the flow of the house. FYI budget is fairly tight. Please help!
