Loft - Best placement of air-conditioning

Hello Everyone,

The house I am renovating will have a loft which will be my office and I have included a diagram below detailing how I will likely furnish it. The room has a pitched roof.

For heating and cooling, we are installing a 7kW split system as recommended by our air-conditioning installer.

Unfortunately, there has been a misunderstanding and instead of installing it above the windows at (2) where we requested it, he has installed it on the west wall, just above the void to downstairs at (1).

I would like some advice from this community as to whether the unit being at (1) rather than (2) make any real difference. The installer tells me that a 5 kW unit would service a room of that size and that given he is installing a 7kW unit it should easily function as intended. My concern is 2 fold....a) the void below the unit...will cold air simply fall down the void rather than cool the room...b) I will mostly be working at my desk to the north of the room with several computers, will the airflow even reach that part of the room with the unit located at (1)??

Do I have anything to worry about??

Thank you all.

Brant
