Archadeck of Austin
Archadeck of Austin designed a custom privacy wall behind the outdoor kitchen to keep the area private from people going up and down the deck stairs. Just on the other side of the privacy wall, we installed an outdoor shower. Having a shower so close to the family’s pool is a huge plus for them.

Every deck we build is different. Each design we create is as unique as the clients we are building them for. Whether you choose a wooden or low-maintenance decking material we can help guide you on which will function best with your specific needs. We pride ourselves on knowing how to make your outdoor space perfect before we even break ground.

Porches and view decks remodeled. Previous guard rails blocked the view, but new guard rails were stepped down so that view from top of deck is unobstructed. Steps act as seats for bigger events.
Composite decking and cable rails are new.

Constructive Alternatives
BUILD GREEN. BUILD BETTER. COMPROMISE NOTHING.
We were commissioned to design, engineer and develop this 70-acre mountain sub-division northwest of Nederland, CO. The development offered platinum award-winning custom homes. When we finished the Flagship home we incorporated and installed a solar PV array and wind turbine connected to a localized battery back-up system. We also had solar thermal collectors that worked together with in-floor and domestic hot water heating systems. HRV/ERV environmental control systems kept the air moving and constantly fresh. Grey water irrigation systems, recycled content, and locally sourced products, helped us accomplish yet another net-zero homestead with stunning Colorado Rocky Mountain views. With whole home digital automation and audio systems, custom finishes, and master craftsmanship around every corner…building better and building green required no compromise in comfort or aesthetic appeal.

The homeowners chose TimberTech Edge composite decking in Maritime Gray. TimberTech Edge decking is engineered to be longer-lasting and more resistant to the elements than traditional wood. This decking also repels everyday stains making them a breeze to wipe away. Oils, acidic foods, wines, sauces, and more won’t cause any permanent damage.

This stunning project, a combination hardscape, deck, pergola and fire pit project in the Ballantrae subdivision of Dublin, Ohio, is a work of art.
The deck is built with low-maintenance composite decking from the TimberTech Legacy Collection in mocha. The Legacy Collection decking boards are capped on all four sides to provide complete protection against mold, mildew, moisture damage, stains, scratches and fading. The black aluminum railings are by TimberTech, also, as are the riser lights on the stairs. These tiny lights make all the difference when it comes to safety on the stairs after dark.
Archadeck of Nashville
Archadeck of Nashville comes to the rescue with this stunning, bi-level custom deck design. The deck is built from Southern pressure-treated pine and features a stunning parting board adding dynamic aesthetics. The new deck is spacious enough for whatever the homeowners have in mind, from entertaining to sunsets for two. The deck is accessible from all areas of the home’s second story. This allows the deck to be conveniently used as an extension of the home’s interior when hosting family and friends.

Archadeck of Birmingham
Archadeck of Birmingham built a free-standing deck around this pool and extended the deck opposite the house to create a lounge area under a large pergola. We built the deck with pressure-treated pine and the pergola with cedar. The railing, which extends the length of the deck and the pergola, is all aluminum.

Archadeck of Austin
How does your idea of an“outdoor living utopia” compare to the West Austin deck / covered patio / outdoor kitchen featured here? Our clients in the West Austin neighborhood of Westminster Estates wanted a total outdoor living transformation at their home. Archadeck of Austin was happy to oblige. We designed and built a custom, multi-faceted outdoor living space combining several structures. The more you examine these photos, the more you’ll see! In addition to the elevated deck, under-deck patio (dry deck space) and outdoor kitchen, this project includes a privacy wall and an outdoor shower. Yes, a shower!

The deck we built as part of this custom outdoor living combo space spans 32 ft. × 16 ft., a wonderfully spacious area for relaxing, soaking up the sun and watching the swimmers below. Keep in mind, this deck is 10 ft. above grade! We used four steel posts to support the deck structure. For their low-maintenance deck, these West Austin homeowners selected PVC decking from AZEK’s Vintage Collection in English Walnut. We designed the deck with a parting board and perimeter board. No rough edges around this deck!

For this deck, our clients' selected TimberTech composite decking in the Maritime Gray color. It’s the perfect contrast to the lighter siding on the home. For their deck railing, they selected Westbury black aluminum rail sections with white vinyl sleeves on the rail posts. For the deck skirting, we used the same TimberTech Maritime Gray decking used for the deck surface and steps.
