Do you think they match? Coffee table I did my research and found something similar to the noguchi coffee table but in white (thought it'll suit the white ikea table). It's aFreedom's Stockholm table . Dining Chairs I really love the chairs with timber legs but I've decided that since my apartment will be occasionally rented out I'll stick with a more conservative look. Dark Grey frabic will match my sofa. The steel........ It's similar to one of the photos on houzz. Bar Stool: Now that I have chosen a dark grey/steel leg dining chairs and an oak based coffee table, would a standard white barstool with steel leg still work well with everything else or is it starting to clash? I found some possible but more expensive options if it's starting to clash:

I think the white tiles are an excellent idea. The freshness of the white will be the perfect foil to the red accents. The key to success is to use the red strategically (not too much). I think one or two pieces of artwork will be the perfect finish to the decor. I recommend theming your dishes and glassware by using simple shapes that might have been used in a diner.

Good luck with your bar stool selection. I completely agree with your choice to buy from a shop rather than online. I've included a photo of 2 white stools I purchased (if they suit the look you're after). A word of warning - after seeing them in someone's kitchen photo from Houzz, I bought them online. Both stools arrived badly packaged with dents & scratches on the wooden backs & both had faulty gas cylinders so seats wouldn't go up. A refund was granted months later after PayPal investigated but I had to pay to return them (cheapest freight was twice what the stools cost). Now I will always buy from a shop!

OMG Siriuskey. You have nailed it!!! This is almost the same as the designer has come up with. I have measured the wall with the 2 seats on the end and it is 5 meters long. Then there is a big gap for an opening coming in from the front of the house which is identical on the opposite wall going in to the back of the house. Hubby thinks that if we were to take out full height Pantry and have our pantry in lower drawers he would be happy with the wall not being nearly completely filled in. You are very clever lady. Thank you. I will show him this as I eagerly await to hear back and get drawings from our designer.
