I definitely agree that timber/sea grass/ rattan stools would go well & add some warmth! I honestly don't know about the lights though. I think if it was me I'd stick with stainless & minimal modern for the pendant lighting as that would suit the rest of the kitchen. Then just use other accessories like the stools & a wooden fruit bowl or something to add the warmth.

thank you bigreader but I haven't posted a photo of them yet. They are not my ideal choice. I only went with these at the time because they were cheap from fantastic furniture. I originally wanted blue stools but the price was out of my budget considering I could get four grey/silver ones for the price of 1 blue one. I can post a photo of them in the morning

Hi Sian If it wasnt for the foot rail, I'd thought the stool was a side table and looks uncomfortable to sit on, but try Gumtree - you may find pre loved Vincents for a song. Hi Crocker Castle, We bought our tiles from Tile Mega Mart in Smithfield, Sydney. We got ours on sale + further discounts as we bought both exterior and interior tiles from them. Cant remember the exact price of the timber look tile as it was an overall discount. We did get it for a reasonable price and much much less than the advertised price of $129.
