So are you saying your vanities HAVE to be only 810 high? Or will 850 work too? If 850, with 70 basin, takes it to 920 which is good overall height (same as mine). However, 880 is a bit on the low side, in my opinion.

thank you, everything is set for them to go in at 810 but we could move them 20mm or ,maybe 30mm as long as everything reaches, they are floating and only 300mm long so we don't have much room to play with, i didn't know if 880 would be too low, I'm lost!

Hmmm, best way to check I think is measure your existing vanities where you currently live, and decide whether you would be comfortable bending to where 880. My family is rather tall and we specially had all our our benchtops at 920. May I ask if your kitchen benchtop, where sink is to be, is also going to be low? While you may be able to live with your vanities being lower, I think having to work at that kitchen height would prove a pain.

good idea, i think our kitchen is 950, a bit strange that there is such a big difference in the heights, i may have to check into it more, are your vanities 920 too? I'm 5ft6 my husband is about 5ft8 and we've 3 young kids, all of our cupboards seem pretty high apart from these, maybe i should move them up

Our heights range from 5'9 to 6'2. Yes, vanities and desktops all same as our kitchen bench of 920.

For your bathroom vanities, heights can vary if you are fitting basins ON TOP, not recessed or inset. If you think some of the basins are not tall enough, maybe look for ones that are higher. Of course, also have to be sure whatever taps/mixers you choose can be fit over the lip of higher basins and still leave room for washing hands.

Northstar, I think your plumbing will be good at that height, our newer kitchen bench top is 900 which used to be the height for kitchens, try getting a stool with an appropriate pot on top to try to visualize it

We have just recently sold the property, they were 30cm wall mounted basins and he is approx 5'8". I think that because your vanities and basin are only 30cm it would look strange set too high, try the above if you can and then chat to your plumber and builder. Do you have the vanity and basin to do this with?

Just have the finish height of the sink set-out to which ever height is must comfortable/ functional for you, the user.
Bench top heights, plumbing points, all work backwards from your desired finish height then. Every job we do we vary these heights to suit the client.
