Congrats, great potential. I agree that a grey like limed white would be great on the walls. The ceilings look lower than some 60s houses and painting both ceiling and walls in the one colour or 1/4 strength can accentuate the height of the rooms. White trim on the skirts and door frames are not too bland but those windows may look better framed with a darker trim. This colour palate will be a great canvas for you to add colour and texture that you indicated you like in furniture, baskets, throws etc. Suggest sticking to painting pre move in and once you've lived there a while you will know what you/house needs. I have done extensive research because I have same problem as yours. For the bedroom get double roller blind one is sunscreen you can see out during the day but no privacy at night and the other blind is either block out or light filtering. As far as sunscreen goes the darker the colour the better the view outside, so you can go black , but I would not have the second blind in the same colour because once it's down at night you have this huge black window in front of you, not that nice. You would be better of matching your block out blind to you wall or other furniture or bedding in the room. Instead of roller blind you can have Roman blind . I have gone with Roman's because they are fixed at the cornice level and a bit wider then the window so it looks softer and yes I used textured fabric. If your windows are big it's worth investing in motorised blind but only for the one that will be going up and down all the time not sunscreen. It's about $700 per motor. ( I should be a blind consultant lol).

Looks messy, difficult and expensive. I don't know if you will have enough fall in the sewer pipe. I would suggest you get a sewer plan by contacting your local water authority, and perhaps a second opinion once you have this information. Dee re the sink in the laundry in my previous plan, I was hoping that the vanity basin might do double duty? But I must say that if the powder room can be kept separate that is my first choice . If the laundry can become a European Laundry cupboard under the stairs that would be excellent. Your lovely old terrace needs to keep as much open space as you can achieve as this along with the new extension will allow important light iback nto this space and by tucking the laundry under the staircase works towards this I just saw that you are having my favourite bathroom layout with the Japanese Shower bath set up, well done
