Caesarstone has white marks

last year

No heat has been placed on this benchtop as the house is still in construction.
What could have caused this damaged?
The tradies that have been present are tilers, plumber, cabinetmaker and electrician.
This is Stone Ambassador "Platinum Black" (builder's range stone).
It was a cheap installation if that changes anything.

Are the marks “in” the engineered stone. Or are they surface marks. Is it paint?

With regards to cleaning Caesarstone it's important to understand, Caesarstone surfaces require very little maintenance to keep them looking like new as most of the others above have mentioned. ksangus there is a big difference in the two colours. We assume your black is streaking, fingerprinting and looking patchy... .This happen with all quartz no matter the brand. Caesarstone jet black, night sky and especailly vanilla noir do exactly the same. In fact Vanilla Noir is nortorious for chemically etching from anything caustic especially glass cleaner etc Use the correct cleaning products and you will love it as much as your white colored quartz Stone & Quartz Care, Cleaning Essentials We also suggest you view our cleaning videos to make life easier to care for them

Hi Alex and Christie, I am installing a kitchen this week using a product I have used before and that I really like. It's Mirostone - a 100% acrylic product which feels and looks just like the reconstituted stone - it even feels cold like stone - yet it's much cheaper than any reconstituted stone I have found. Being 100% acrylic it's not porous which also means it's very hygienic. It's resilient to marks and staining so will be good for rolling out pastry dough. However, it should be treated with care like any benchtop and a chopping board or hot surface board used when required. Marks and stains can be easily sand-papered away - that's right, sandpaper - but because the stone colour goes through to the base, you aren't left with a discoloured patch. It only comes in 7 colours from white to grey, but it's a really nice product. I believe it is available Australia-wide from the distributors in Adelaide (where I am based). Good luck. My cabinetmaker told me about Dekton, which he described as like the next generation Caesarstone (but not made by Caesarstone). I saw a Dekton display at a recent trade fair and was impressed by the product, versatility and range of colours. Much tougher than Caesarstone as it can also be used for external kitchens, flooring and external cladding. I currently have a client who is looking at the white (which is actually more of a warm off-white) for her kitchen. There is nothing wrong with your stone. The description of stone ambassador says it has white flecks through the surface. You have got exactly what you asked for. Don’t blame the tradies or installation.

@dreamer These are not "fine white chips". Can you relax about defending tradies and actually look at the photos? These white marks aren't in the other benchtops or in the sample. I'm not blaming them. But they really do complicate things so please don't defend them blindly. I think they had integrity when they had to have skill and houses weren't just slapped together. They've scratched my shower tile and basin and bent my render mesh and I'm going to pay hundreds to repair it all. This is the least of the problems they have caused. "Accidents happen". I lost a day of pay fixing concreters' incorrect markings and to be present for their inspection. They tried to tell me inspector was demanding more works but I never heard from this inspector. They still did my footpath wrong. They are not being paid peanuts. It's not my fault I have to go to work and can't babysit them and that I live on the side of the city where impressive homes aren't made for tradies with integrity to work on.

Black is notorious for showing up any little mark, dust or imperfection. Wouldn't choose it for bench tops or cars forthis reason

But, I would just like to say, the sample shown on the website does look comparable to your bench top.
