concrete perimeter help

So I’m not keen on a 900 perimeter of concrete around the front door step and blade wall.
Does anyone have any creative solutions to reducing it?
I’ve spoken with the engineer and they said they could reduce it in a small percentage to 600 only around the blade wall (which doesn’t feel like a big concession).
My primary issue is I have a front doorstep that’s tiled, and the plan was to have stepping stones leading to it, in the same tiles as a front door step. But that’s not possible with the perimeter requirement as I’d have to do some in exposed aggregate or have a huge area tiled (as there is a balcony and under it is a mini alfresco) on the other side of the blade wall.
I’m in SA
