Maybe some floating shelves on the wall against which the bed will rest? Obviously taking care to ensure that they're not at a height where your daughter will hit her head getting in or out of bed. Or you could move the bed to the wall with the window which would enable you to put a taller than standard bedside table (or even the desk) near the head of the bed. Moving the desk might open up the space at the door for entry/exit as it looks a little cramped at the moment with the design and wardrobe.

Hi mldesign, thanks for the lovely feedback. Ironically, this is a fairly amateur set of photos but quite popular on this site. I think because it's real life and a real improvement, and quite acheiveable.If you look at the teenage boys room on my profile, that' my son's room -another real life situation. It never really looks like the after shot though, because he is normal and I'm happy for him to be that way. I think as long as I provide the faciltiy for him to be organised, I have done my job as a Mum. I did have pro shots of that done last week so it will be a better quality scene soon and I'll do a whole story on the storage for kids. Yes being oragnised can save a lot of hassle and frustration. People often think I must have an amazingly tidy and organised home, but what I think really matters is finding the right facility to keep you as organised as you personally want or need to be, and that's different for everyone, and changes throughout life and it doesn't have to look pretty to be organised. I also love this little girl's room photo and the one of the little boy's room that because this client was one of those who told me that what I had done for themtotally changed their lives. Seems like a big deal really,but so glad it works. I also did their walk in wardrobe and the study -also photographed- again just phone shots but you can see what an improvement it was for them. my suggestions are based on zoning the areas for multiple cooks and helpers and has a bar open to the living area from both ends with an optional privacy door between bar and pantry and no door between kitchen and pantry, the island should be much narrower for quick meals and the arrangement of drawers and supporting post under the island allow for cook's stool spacebtw, unless you prefer to iron in the laundry the laundry and mudroom seem a little generous at the expense of the small study that could also be a useful downstairs emergency sick room

We have been building our house for over two years now. The supply chain downturn has made it a nightmare. We are camping on the mezzanine floor of our warehouse so it isn't costing us to wait, but if I had rented a property while building we would be in trouble now. I purchased most of our plumbing supplies early in the build so at least those items have not gone up in price, but many others have. We ordered and paid for a cantilever pool awning in February this year, and it was sent in three lots. The last delivery was two weeks ago. I suspect the company was having a hard time getting it out of China, so not their fault. We had quotes for fly screens/security screens that totalled over $25,000. We had to forgo the security screens in favour of fly screens for most of the house. We had a quote for a large aluminium mesh panel to place on the front left corner of the house which was over $25,000 also. The fencing company got an order wrong and we ended up with the wrong colour louvre panels on the front driveway sliding gates, plus the wrong colour for a fence. We have managed to turn it into a positive by keeping the wrong coloured louvre blades, and they will now be put up vertically on the front corner of the house, instead of the aluminium mesh. They are six metres long, but the house is two stories, so all good. We had to keep the gate panels the same, so the wrong colour will have to be exchanged for the right colour. People are still building houses here, and some of them are going up very fast, so I don't understand why ours has taken so long. We have purchased most of the goods locally, but I suppose the suppliers are having trouble getting them from overseas. I am at the point where I am losing interest in this house, which is a shame because it will be a beautiful house when finished.
