Talking from both sides...in our old house we had Gloss cupboards our new house now we have Matt cupboars... Gloss: to clean all we needed to do was just do one quick wipe over with window shine and a cloth, they always looked beautiful and shinny...they even added money on when we sold our house!! Absolutly LOVED them...would fully recommend them Matt: to clean...there is now three stages...hot water and sugar soap to get rid of the finger marks and oils, then a wet cloth after that then you have to dry it or it looks terrible!!! i hate our cupboards now...so much effort to keep them looking nice and they are very dull but it just depends what look you are aiming for!! Hello NY, thanks for your comments. The two colours were not going together, just one of those two for feature island. Solid 'white' perimeter cupboards and white stone bench top. I wanted a feature laminex with texture as it tends to soften the overall look of concrete and provides warmth. That's why I haven't gone towards solid colours for my island bench. Decisions decisions!

In that pic the last one looks best but I’m wondering if the lighting is right as the Smartstone (3rd) looks slightly pink and it certainly isn’t (I have it in my bathrooms). Also, see what the samples look like with the laminate sample vertical and the stone horizontal as that’s hi they are going to be relative to each other. The light on a horizontal plane might give a slightly different colour.

You can certainly go either way, cool white or warm white. I would tend to opt for a slightly warm white so there is contrast between the white elements and to warm up the room, esp given your flooring choice. What a beautiful stone you have chosen. Antique White USA or Natural White are two that spring immediately to mind. Can you upload a pic of your flooring? Which white paint colours are you considering?
