“What we love about Josephine is she doesn’t just focus on creating a space that looks beautiful she focuses on creating a space that we want to live in, that reflects us and is beautiful. I know what I like and I don’t like but when trying to do up our living area I stalled as I felt completely overwhelmed by all the choices in colour, fabric, textures and layout. Our furniture and furnishings have been collected over the years and there is no overriding theme but we love that everything has a story. Josephine was able to use colour, texture and fabric to bring it all together. Now it’s a restful space that is interesting, unique and just lovely to be in. We are looking forward to working with Josephine more in the future.”

“Lee and Scott from Aboda Design Group created our amazing Blue Dog Beach House at Noosa. We had purchased land overlooking the ocean on a unique fan shaped sand dune block and wanted to create a very special beach house that would feel welcoming, blissful and make the most of the beautiful coastal surrounds. We were very open to design ideas and had a pinterest board of images and concepts that we liked - wanting to merge New England coastal style with a bright and airy Noosa beach house. Stepping inside the house is like a dream and each time we visit, we love it more and more and our guest feedback has been amazing. Lee and Scott listened to our ideas and were able to interpret them in a way that made best use of the site - little things such as privacy issues to that even though the house is in a suburban location, it feels almost completely private. Pictures windows create artworks of the ocean and despite being in a potentially highly windy location, the orientation and aspect of the house has dealt with this challenge beautifully making the outdoor areas useable almost all of the time and throughout the year. Six months on and we are still noticing all the design aspects that make the house truly something extraordinary. I think the most important factor of all in architectual design is the way that you feel when you are in a space and on this element, Blue Dog has met and surpassed everything we had hoped for. Lee and Scott are very passionate about what they do and it has been an amazing life experience to have had their assistance in creating what has been a dream come true for our family. He subsequently extended this to a tricky exposed back garden with a good choice of tough plants that are doing well. Both major jobs were completed rapidly. “Carole is the principal of Carole Tretheway Design and has 27 years experience in the design field, on the Sunshine Coast, where she opened her design studio three years ago, and nationally. Her qualifications include a Masters degree in Furniture and Timber Design I have worked with Carole on two major re-design projects in my home. One of Carole's strengths is her diligence in communication when the client is not on-site - she was constantly updating and discussing the project with me - this was very valuable in assuring me that the project was under competent control. I was able to leave several design decisions in her hands, with confidence. As we were unable to live in the house while renovations were ongoing, and were in fact overseas for that time, this was a great asset. Another of her strengths is the network of professionals she has built - she gets the best out of them, or she doesn't use them. Carole has been a continuing source of backup and information long after the project finished and has rectified some minor problems promptly. “I highly recommend Stuart at Earth Creation Landscapes. He has helped me out on two occasions and the most recent time was an absolute lifesaver for me! A year ago, I had to evict horrid tenants from my investment property in Noosa because they had severely breached our agreement and had also run down my property. I had a massive job on my hands to get my property back up to quality so I could attract good tenants and start receiving rent from the property. I called Stuart and told him my situation. Stuart actually cut his Christmas holiday a week early to help me urgently. He and his team worked so hard every day for a few weeks through an extreme heat wave to get my job done. “Dear Cam & Tanya (Mitchell Cabinet Makers), SO, you’re looking for a new kitchen?? Well you would be absolutely crazy to go with anyone else than Cam & Tanya from Mitchell Cabinet Makers. The process when looking at getting any renovation can be difficult and finding the right people to do the job that you can trust and work with can be challenging. Being new to the Sunshine Coast my partner and I didn’t have any contacts or know anyone that could push us in the right direction. We contacted 3 kitchen places and had them all come out and give quotes. They were all very polite and of course talked themselves up. We were starting to feel confident that we could go with one of these businesses but once the quote came through that all changed. None of them could break down the quotes to show us exactly where our money was being spent. What we couldn’t believe is that they were quoting a bulk amount (odd). One of the places told us that they would have to hire someone to itemise their quotes if everyone wanted it broken down like us. At this point we had lost all faith in tradies on the Sunshine Coast, we also felt that they saw two females and thought they could take us to town. Then we found Cam & Tanya and thank god we did. They gave us everything we wanted and expected in a quote. They were very professional in their approach to our job. They were also extremely patient with us for many reasons. As you can imagine after the experience we had with the last 3 kitchen places we were on the defensive from the get go. They did however manage to calm us and make us feel better about our renovation. I might add that we did also find someone else that we were considering for the job but in the end it was a no brainer. Once we gave Cam & Tanya the go ahead, things started moving and they were amazing in so many ways. My partner is extremely pedantic and they were amazing in dealing with all the questions and changes to the plan etc etc. Cam & Tanya work really well as a team; they kept us in the loop on everything and at all stages. They managed all the trade’s people and made sure we were always notified of time people were arriving etc. Cam & Tanya also ensured that they were on site every time a tradie was here so there was no confusion as to what Cam expected from his team. Cam has an enormous amount of pride and treated the kitchen as if his own until the final handover/job completion. He is a brilliant cabinet maker and is extremely meticulous. He truly makes faultless cabinets; Cam’s attention to detail will amaze you and excite you if you appreciate and demand perfection. Cam & Tanya will also do everything in their power to ensure as little disruption to your everyday living as possible. Another thing that was a bonus was having a female on the work site. Tanya is the jack of all trades and her multi-tasking skills are remarkable. She gets down and dirty with the boys and then will turn around and take calls, clean up the work site and basically just keep all the boys on their toes. Tanya is probably one of the nicest people we’ve met (big call) but true. Nothing is a problem; we made so many changes to the original plans but not a sigh out of them. These guys are only happy if we are happy. Cam & Tanya will become your mates. You will have a laugh, you will have football banter (if that’s your thing), they will ride the wave of your kitchen renovation right along beside you and they will not let you down on their promise to deliver what you want or in our case exceeded our expectations. I really could go on forever but the long and short of it is….. if you are looking for trustworthy, reliable, prompt, professional and the best customer care, trust me, Mitchell Cabinet Makers will not let you down.
