A neglected shady small patch to start out with was transformed into a welcoming front garden. Removing all lawn, a low steel garden edge, which replicates the curves on the surrounding building facades, keeps rainbowstone gravel mulch tidy, while demarcating a new garden bed in which tropicals were planted. A large golden cane palm was selected for its instant height as a feature plant, setting the tone for a tropical style planting palette.
A practical new path was designed to lead visitors to the front door. Screening plants will provide new privacy once mature.
