Potted Swimming Pool Planting/Fence Screening
The overall beige/cream colour palette surrounding this swimming pool was crying out for some contrast and greenery to draw the eye away from the existing pool pump housing and shed which dominated the space.
Adding a selection of pots and plants with various heights and textures instantly brought this space to life and made it more inviting.
Various sized horizontal and vertical laser cut screens were proposed, but the current budget allowed for one light box framed screen to be installed in direct view from the alfresco area. The screen together with black as well as charcoal and white pots and trough planters in different shapes and sizes soften the pool surrounds. A hardy low maintenance planting scheme was necessary due to the close proximity to the ocean and prevailing winds, but even so the end result has a tropical vibe.
As the plants mature, the harshness of the fence line and the pool pump housing will be softened by leafy overhanging growth.
