To the back of the pool water feature spouts, narrow trough planters allow for some introduced plant height, and although these will not screen out the neighbouring double storey, they create a soft eye-catching poolside feature.

Due to there being no way of getting reticulation to the area behind the pool, plant choices for the troughs had to be tough and have the ability to thrive with hand watering only.

Wanting to create a sense of a tropical oasis, the plant selection for the pots was kept as tropical as possible within these criteria. Leafy foliage plants & some succulent varieties make a bold poolside statement.
