The striking simplicity of brand new paved areas, perfect corners, raised planters, immaculate lawns and organised planting in striking colours, all work harmoniously together to set the tone for a calm new space of enjoyment.

Repetitive bold use of the groundcover Alternanthera Little Ruby will provide year round colour throughout the front and back gardens, together with well chosen flowering plants which compliment the existing backdrop of mature shrubs. Additional hints of tropical foliage add a sense of lushness to the various garden areas.

The relatively long narrow backyard was divided into separate areas by a section of stepping pavers and soft planting, drawing the eye to the feature tree which will become the focal element of the design.

Creating a practical washing line and utility area behind the garage called for a small increased paved area and custom screening to hold a retractable washing line which is hidden from bedroom views into the side garden.

Well placed planted troughs will enhance window views from the inside out as plants fill out. The use of white plant containers add to the overall crisp classic feel of this garden and offset well against the darker fences and grey crushed gravel pathways.
