Back Garden Screening Stage 1
A small narrow backyard will now be relieved from the glare caused by the high Colorbond fences due to soft planting and large new decorative screens placed as accents to the windows. Stage 1 of this project included the screening of the back fence, creating both a visual feast for the eyes as well as a practical herb garden, softening the existing shed.
Artificial turf replaced a hard boring paved area and the various leaf colours and textures now bring interest to this space. Strips of pebbles also add to some visual interest in the herb and fruit tree garden which will screen the view of the shed.
Although the installation deviated slightly from the original design ideas, the outcome is still a good one. The herb garden was meant to have ornamental planting to squares of colourful groundcovers, with stepping pavers instead of turf. The fruit trees and pebble strips have been placed central to the windows in this area for visual appeal.
