This private courtyard is a central feature of this striking new home, encountered the moment you enter the front door. It's green tropical lushness is appreciated from the living rooms and main bedroom.
Adding height was important for privacy, hence a raised steel planter was incorporated into the circular design housing a mature palm tree. A smaller raised circle holds the feature planted bowl, creating various levels of interest and foliage variation. Adding stone mulch keeps this area low maintenance with the added bonus of the white stone reflecting its light back into the interior spaces.
This courtyard is part of a larger project installation which includes a large lawned garden, entrance garden and a large corner verge.
