Clients have down downsized from their family home to a townhouse in Mt Waverley. The home is modern and as a result they updated their furnishings to suit. They wanted to ensure the home was warm with a cosy, welcoming presence. The home has taken on warm autumn tones with tan leather for the armchair and ottoman, forest green armchairs, textured wallpaper in warm orange-brown tones, scatter cushions in a combination of orange, mustard, green and duck-egg hues against a large neutral sofa which is anchored to a charcoal ribbed rug. The ‘hero’ floral cushion helps tie all the colours within the room creating balance. Further warmth is provided from the customed fireplace/TV Wall in a combination of colours and materials, specifically, Navurban Hamilton and Toorak for the joinery and wall cladding and Dulux Calf Skin for the feature paint colour. In the dining room, the new dark timber table emphasises the colours in the overall room but particularly the jade textured
dining chairs. Overall, a lovely warm space that invites you in and can be enjoyed for many years.
