Yellow Accents to a New Home
This was a double storey home with all bedrooms located upstairs and all living downstairs. An upstairs retreat which was no longer required was dismantled and redesigned to create better wardrobes for the two bedrooms. The house was a cold space with tiles throughout. Emme Designs added a sense of warmth and life with a new colour palette of yellow and black. Black to add some depth and yellow for warmth. In addition, the introduction of timber and textured fabrics were used on all seating to help warm the space.
The project required the whole house to be furnished. This included the family, dining, living, master bedroom and 2 x bedrooms. Custom furniture for the home included: bedroom furniture (customed bedhead, bedsides and dresser), entertainment unit, coffee table, dining table and chairs and the living room sofa. The family room sofa and ottoman was re-upholstered. Custom cushions were added to work in with the new colour scheme. New pendant lights were installed in the kitchen. A new Bayliss floor rug and artwork was introduced throughout.
