Bulleen Modernisation
After having lived in their home for a few years, my clients were ready to update and modernise the entire house. Central to the design, is the revamped alfresco area with stacker sliding doors opening at either end creating a large open space when merged with the internal dining/living areas. New plastered ceiling with recessed skylights, glass balustrade, new paving, screening to one side created an inviting entertainment/ relaxation area with lovely views.
On the other side, a new entrance door in a stained timber makes a statement as you approach the home. Additionally, removing internal arches and raising openings to the ceiling enhance the overall home together with new timber flooring.
A two-toned kitchen with white 2pac and Navurban Hamilton against a marble-look stone benchtop and smoked mirror splashback contrast beautifully against the floor. The same Navurban timber veneer is continued into the study with a mix of the dark veneer and white 2pac producing a lovely piece of furniture while contrasting in colour and texture to the wall and floor
colours.
All bathrooms have a uniform theme with a an Italian porcelain tile and a walnut timber-look laminate. All tapware is wall assembled providing a
clean streamlined look.
The “ash white” laminate joinery for the laundry is complemented against the “white valencia” laminate benchtop which harmonises back to the bathroom stone which has a similar design.
Replacing the existing stair balustrade for a half-plastered wall enable better use of the space while also providing additional sound proofing between the two levels and aesthetically creating a more modern space.
And finally, the window dressing are a combination of block out blinds that sit behind the organic textured sheer drapes softening the hard surfaces of the rooms creating a sense of elegance while providing functionality and privacy.
