Modern Architecturally Designed Townhouse

The colours are neutral and timeless but with substance through the use of greys and blacks for the larger pieces of the sofas and dining chairs, and tonal variations are presented through scatters. Indigo has been added to the scatters to tie it back to the painting over the buffet in the centre of the overall space. A sense of elegance is created in the master bedroom with darker hues for the wallpaper, sheers and bedhead. All of the pieces have striking individual textural features, yet are well balanced. Shades of chartreuse are introduced for contrast creating charm and appeal. The upstairs rumpus room is essentially a teenage retreat so the style of furniture is funky. The general colour theme is continued through the sofa fabric and the scatters which are matched back to the Stewart Westle artwork. Each of the kid’s rooms have their own identity yet still have a link to the general colour theme. One is soft with a light textured wallpaper and soft blues, whereas each of the boys are more masculine with blues and blacks.
