This stylish kitchen and walk-in pantry sit within a beautiful Federation home built in 1912 in Melbourne's leafy east. The homeowner's had a great vision for this space and some structural work, removing walls and moving doorways, was required to modernised the home's footprint to suit today's living. This kitchen while very contemporary sits in harmony with the period features of the home such as the ornate cornices, archways and brickwork. We love the striking monochromatic colour scheme of black and white and the touches of glamour that elevate this space like the Qasair rangehoods, Sub-Zero Wolf appliances and the beautiful marble benchtops.

Design is a direct response to architecture and the home owner. It sshould take on all of the challenges, lifes functionality issues to create a space that is highly functional and incredibly beautiful.
The curved ceiling was born out of the three structural beams that could not be moved; these beams sat at 2090mm from the finished floor and really dominated the room.
Downlights would have just made the room feel smaller, it was imperative to us to try and increase the ceiling height, to raise the roof so to speak!

This Californian Bungalow has been transformed into a relaxing, timeless family home.
Undertaking the renovation of the existing house, the young family wanted space and an open plan layout. To achieve this, a new north facing pavilion was created along with a pool and granny flat overlooking a sun-filled garden.
Designed to effortlessly accommodate the family, the renovation has achieved flow and functionality. A nod to the owners love of both traditional and modern design features was achieved with an open plan layout, refined classic style and a seamless connection to the outdoors through expansive French timber doors.

The arrangement of the family, kitchen and dining space is designed to be social, true to the modernist ethos. The open plan living, walls of custom joinery, fireplace, high overhead windows, and floor to ceiling glass sliders all pay respect to successful and appropriate techniques of modernity.
